We are an all volunteer-based organization, whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Chihuahuas in Central Texas. We are solely funded by the generous donations of our community and adoption fees. We are a Texas Nonprofit Corporation and are actively working toward our 501(c)3 designation.

WHEN: 4th Saturdays @ 11:00 a.m
WHERE: Cedar Bark Park (map)
WHO: Chihuahuas and their toy breed friends
Next Meetup Date: FEBRUARY 25th @ 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
(An alternate Inclement weather location will be announced 3 days prior to Meetup dates if necessary.)
From our friends at TCA: "The Chi Amigos welcomes all Chihuahuas and their Toy Breed companions to
gather once a month in friendship! We all know it is important to keep
our little ones socialized. What better way, than in the company of Chihuahua
and toy breed lovers?! Our Meetups include "Ask The Trainer"
opportunities for dog training tips, interactive socializing skill
acquisition, humane education, local rescue and charity support, and so
much more! You will get a chance to sign up for annual parades, dog
walks and other canine friendly activities with your Chi Amigos and
always have a friend by your side! Come join in the fun the 4th
Saturday of each month at 11:00am, at Cedar Bark Park (good weather
days) and other covered, local venues (bad weather days)."
SUCCESS STORY - MAX! (NOW WIGGINS)
"Max is doing great. We have named him Wiggins (from the book Enders Game) and when I say wiggy wiggy Wiggins he just goes nuts, it's very cute. He is getting along well with Ruri, who is being her normal bossy self but otherwise seems to like him a lot and want to play. He's having fun chasing the cat, but doesn't try to pounce on him or anything, which is great, I wanted him to be interested in the cat and not afraid, and the cat often wants to be chased. He slept in the bed, under the covers between us last night. Once he finally settled down from excitement I think of being in a new room he seemed to sleep just fine." Liz N.
Ay Chihuahua Rescue is proud to Introduce.... "Nurture Your Inner Chi, with Gypsy Rose Lhi!" A humane education program brought to you through the medium of her magic Crystal Water Bowl! The Ancient Chihuahuas have a special connection with Gypsy Rose Lhi, and share their wisdom with her alone. Lucky for us, and the small price of a warm bed and some healthy treats, she is willing to pass on these valuable training tips, insights to proper canine health care, and even perform the occasional "PAWlm Reading!" Our Foster Family Program is in need of new foster homes! Ay Chihuahua Rescue does not have a physical facility from which you can view our available dogs. We place our rescued Chihuahuas into loving foster homes. These families are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment to give our pets the best chance at adoption!
